DHC Training for Organizations

Dignity in Healing Collective believes a healer exists in each of us, and we all bring unique experiences and skills to support one another. We created our training programs to nurture and enhance these innate qualities. Our goal is to provide a space where we can learn and grow together, becoming more grounded and available to support others’ healing.

Our foundation course, “Honoring Yourself: Cultivating Dignity Within,” teaches learners to identify their personal dignity, practice self-regulation, and develop a sustainable path for health and wellness. This course is suitable for any group but particularly benefits clinic staff, frontline workers, advocates, and others who regularly interact with people.

Our second course is the “Dignity in Healing” training. Building on the skills learned in “Honoring Yourself,” this course extends support skills to others. Using evidence-based techniques, we teach learners how to provide client-centered support in collective healthcare settings. Graduates will gain skills to perform the duties of case managers, behavioral health support staff, clinic staff, and medical staff, focusing on emotional health and wellness.

In all our offerings, learners are encouraged to share their own practices and cultural healing modalities. We learn together how to best use these gifts. Our training is developed through an anti-oppression lens and is trauma-competent. This means we continuously practice open communication, flexibility, and adaptability in creating trauma-sensitive spaces while recognizing the impact of power imbalances in our systems.

A health and wellness ecosystem

Our mission is to create an interconnected health and wellness ecosystem where non-licensed healers and behavioral health support staff collaborate with licensed providers. We envision an ongoing cycle of mutual learning and support. Upon completing the Dignity in Healing training, you are expected to remain part of our collective, both providing and receiving support and ongoing professional development.
